Should cell phone dangerous?

from many sources.
Mobile phone or cell phone is called an electronic telecommunications device that has the same basic capabilities with conventional fixed-line telephone, but can be taken everywhere (portable, mobile) and not needed connected with the telephone network using a wired (wireless; wireless). Currently Indonesia has two systems of wireless telephone network, GSM (Global System for Mobile Telecommunications) and the system is CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access). Agencies that regulate cellular telecommunications Indonesia is Indonesia Cellular Telecommunications Association (ATSI).
Now mobile phones became a multifunctional gadget. In addition to working to make and receive phone calls, cell phones are generally also has the function of sending and receiving short messages (short message service, SMS). There is also a mobile phone service provider in some countries that provide third generation (3G) by adding videophone services, as a means of payment, as well as for online television on their mobile phone. Following the development of digital technology, now mobile phones are also equipped with a wide selection of features, such as can capture radio and television broadcasts, software audio players (MP3) and video, digital cameras, gaming, and internet services (WAP, GPRS, 3G). In addition to these features, the phone now has embedded computer features. So on the phone, people can change the function of the mobile phone into a mini computer.
Within seconds, one can pass on vital information, send invitation, conduct business and make an appointment miles and miles away either by speech or text message. This is made possible by cell phones. More people have cell phones. Cell phones have seemed to become a BIG part of everyone’s life now days. The role of mobile phones has become a Primary Day-to-day need. Some people act like they could never live without them.

According to industry estimates, there are more than 500 million mobile phone subscribers in Africa now, up from 246 million in 2008. In 2000, the number of mobile phones first exceeded that of fixed telephones. The four biggest mobile phone markets in Africa are Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, and Ghana. It is also estimated that about 30 billion messages are exchanged worldwide each year, and in one country a telephone company made 7.5 billion mobile phone calls in a recent year where 75 per cent of the population own mobile phones. Mobile phone use has become so common and fashionable that those without it can be classified as belonging to antiquity. There is no doubt that cell phones are very useful for people.
However there are some disadvantages also associated with cell phones. The first is relates to moral. Immoral contacts are initiated and strengthened in text messages, since it is easy to write serious things that would be difficult to say face-to- face. Such messages are always kept secret from parents and even spouses, and quickly deleted. Similar, certain calls received are answered undertone or by isolating oneself, thus creating doubts and suspicions. SMS is more efficient than other means of communication. For example, people are not always connected to the Internet and are not always available to take phone calls. SMS speeds up two-way interaction and a lot of people are now using it instead of voice mail.
The second disadvantage is health-related. The American Journal of Epidemiology published a study from research author Dr. Siegal Sadetzki, a cancer specialist at Tel Aviv University. The Telegraph published an article about this study and summarized that people who use a cell phone for hours a day are 50 per cent more likely to develop mouth cancer than those who do not talk on them at all, new research has shown.
In disadvantages addition, the use of cell phones has also been related to Alzheimer’s disease and Cancer. A study by Swedish researchers suggests the link between cell phone use and Alzheimer’s disease: Cell phones damage brain cells and could trigger the early of Alzheimer’s disease. Researchers have found that radiation from cell phone handsets damages areas of the brain associated with learning, memory and movement.
Next disadvantages are health effects of cell phone radiation. The health effect of cell phone radiation on children is very worrisome. All government reports and many scientific studies that are referred to in this article emphasize that child are more vulnerable than adults.
In ‘How Exposure to Mobile Phone Base-Station Signals Can Adversely Affect Humans’, Dr Hyland  the  Medical Clinics in Highland Park, Manukau City, Auckland explains why children are more vulnerable: Preadolescent children are more vulnerable because of their thinner skulls, their still developing nervous systems, their increased levels of cell division, and their less robust immune systems. Health problems are identical with those caused by excessive exposure to sources of radiation, e.g. high tension electric cables, X-rays, chemotherapy, etc. The electromagnetic radiations generated by the cell phones while receiving and transmitting signals that enable location of cell phones, connection between cell phones and communicating, pose a health hazard for users of cell phones. Also people who often use cell phones while driving, walking, or performing some other work. Using cell phone while do activities can be leading to poor performance of its work value because they didn’t concentration to things that they do.
The next disadvantage is cause of infertility in man. The 2008 study titled ‘Effect of cell phone usage on semen analysis in men attending infertility clinic: an observational study’ came to the following conclusion: they suggest that the use of cell phones by men is associated with a decrease in semen quality. The decrease in sperm count, motility, viability, and normal morphology is related to the duration of exposure to cell phones.
The last disadvantage is from a German study. A German study published in 2004 titled ‘The Influence of Being Physically Near to a Cell Phone Transmission Mast on the Incidence of Cancer’, showed a 3 times higher risk of developing cancer for people who lived within 400 meters of a cell phone tower for a period of five years. A similar Spanish study found that people living in the close vicinity of a cell phone tower had the following health problems: Depression increased by up to 64-fold. Fatigue increased by up to 37-fold. Appetite Loss increased by up to 25-fold. Those health effects apply to adults; children can be expected to have even more severe health issues due to the increased absorption of the same radiation levels.
According to article from the website http://www.modernghana.com/newsp, we advised to keep our mobile phones away from the regions of our kidneys and genital organs-the lower abdomen-as they are capable of damaging the kidney and also rendering us impotent. Cell phone should not be kept as companions in bed or close to us when we slept. Put them in our shirt pockets close to our heart is to be very dangerous. A person that has a cancer of heart should be kept away from cell phone if cell phone is not being used. It is more advisable not to keep electronic gadgets such as televisions and even digital alarm clocks in our bedroom while sleeping, as they also emit radiation. Although we cannot completely avoid all health hazards in this pollution-filled world, we can reduce it relatively to lengthen our days for a few more years.
Thanks for you that already read my writing,,actually that was my writing class assignment.
